We are the third generation to live and farm at High Callis Wold. After graduating with a BSc(hons) Mechanical Engineering in 1996 Mike decided his future lay at in farming and returned home to work with his parents, Mark and Christine at High Callis Wold and other farms. A stong family interest in conservation and the environment lead to the conversion of all of the livestock and around 50% arable land to organic production in 1999 taking two years to become fully organic. Today Mike lives with his wife, Kate, and two children, Sam and Charlotte at High Callis Wold. Sam his son now works full time on the farm learning from his dad with regenerative methods conserving for the next generation and loves tractors. Charlotte is often helping out the farm and is to be found very intereted in the livestock side with two little pet lambs called Margo and Maggie but also sometimes working in the mill.

Life is always busy as we farm around 1100 acres which includes cattle, sheep, organic and conventional crops.  Mike manages the farm while Kate has her own business a vetinary physiotherapist. Most of her clients are horses but skills are sometimes transfered to the odd farm animal!
